“Imagine walking down the street and being surrounded by rhubarb plants, cherry trees, and raspberry bushes. Imagine all the jam!”
We can make this happen! Come join us to gain a basic, and functional, understanding of Edible Forest Gardening.
When: Saturday, Aug. 24th. 10am – 12noon.
Where: 87 Dean Ave., Guelph. Harcourt Church parking lot.
Why: To learn how to plant Edible Forest Gardens and to help grow the community orchard.
What’s Edible Forest Gardening? It’s a meshing of certain forest ecosystem aspects with our food production systems to make everything a bit healthier.
We are also going to work together to build upon the already amazing community orchard at 87 Dean Ave., which was planted almost a year ago by the Community Orchard Project. It’s beautiful, you should see it.
We’ll have snacks, handouts, PRIZES, and a bunch of pretty cool people.
